Strategy |

Winning in lotto doesn't always have to be a based purely on luck. Many players use techniques and systems in order to increase their chance of winning prizes, if not to make the game more interesting. The most popular ways to go about this are through the use of REDUCED SYSTEMS (also known as "WHEELING SYSTEMS"), FULL SYSTEMS and SYNDICATES. Additionally, you can play using any of those 3 strategies with OzLotteries.com.

FULL SYSTEM

Simply put, a Full System allows you to pick more than just the allowed 6 numbers for each lotto game. For instance, a "Full System 7" allows you to pick 7 numbers, while a "Full System 8" allows you to pick 8 numbers, and so on. The highest amount of numbers you can pick is 20 which is a "Full System 20".

In a FULL System, your entry is equivalent to playing every possible 6-number combination from your selected numbers. For instance, if you played a Full System 8 (which has 28 possible combinations), your entry is equivalent to playing all 28 possible combinations of 6 numbers from your 8 selections.

You can play a FULL SYSTEM entry for Monday Lotto * Tuesday Super 7's Ozlotto * Wednesday Lotto Full Systems * Thursday Powerball * Saturday Lotto

REDUCED SYSTEMS

One of the most effective ways is the use of Reduced Systems (or Wheeling Systems). A Reduced System distributes your chosen numbers over a number of games so that you have the same statistical chance of matching the winning numbers as you do with a Full System but at a significantly-reduced cost.

For example, a Full System 12 game in Saturday Lotto (6/45) lets you choose 12 numbers. The system then organises those 12 numbers into all possible combinations of 6 numbers which equals 924 different games.

A Reduced System 12A in the same lotto also lets you choose 12 numbers. This system then organises the numbers in such a way that your chance of matching the winning numbers is exactly the same as in the Full System 12. The numbers, however, are placed in 42 combinations or only 42 games. This represents a huge cost reduction, but with the same chance of matching the winning numbers among your selections!

Each Reduced System represents a different number pattern or combinatorial design that picks the optimum number combinations for you. And each Reduced System has a guaranteed return depending on the amount of winning numbers you match with your selections.

Please refer to the individual Lotto game descriptions for the available Reduced Systems and the accompanying guarantees:

SYNDICATES

A Syndicate is a group of people who pool their money together in order to play as many lotto entries as possible. When an entry played by the group wins, the prize is shared equally among all the members of the Syndicate. Players in a syndicate get an instant increase in their chances of winning because each one is playing with more entries than they could ever pay for on their own, at no extra cost.
